Not just turkey and stuffing - there may be more than meets the eye!
Family and friends often notice the weak spots in precarious living arrangements of senior loved ones when they spend time together during the holidays. If you see changes in dressing, grooming, hygiene, appetite, interaction, and behavior it may be worth a closer look at the overall situation. Change is part of natural aging, we slow down and may make less effort with certain tasks (dressing more comfortably, less fancy, taking less of a role in holiday preparations, etc.). If you see changes that are most definitely outside of your loved ones long established personality (odors, soiled/mismatched clothes, withdrawal from conversation, lack of recognition of well known people, etc.) there may be a problem.
