SENIOR.ONE PRIVACY POLICY [Last Revised (1 July 2025)]

At Senior.One, our mission is to provide compassionate and expert care navigation services to seniors and their caregivers, supporting them on their unique journey of aging. We are committed to empowering seniors and their caregivers with the knowledge, resources, and guidance they need to make informed decisions on care and achieve their desired quality of life. We are also committed to protecting the privacy of our Users.

This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the Personal Information (as defined below) we collect from (i) individuals who are at least 55 years of age and may receive care services identified through Senior.One (“Care Clients”), (ii) persons or entities using our platform to offer or seek care services for Care Clients (“Care Providers”), and (iii) visitors to our website (our “Site”) who are not Care Clients or Care Providers (“Site Visitors”). Collectively, these individuals in (i), (ii), and (iii) are “Users.”

The information we collect and store, as well as the methods by which we collect it, depends on the Services you use and the activities in which you participate.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not want us to collect, use or disclose Personal Information in the ways described in this Privacy Policy, please do not use our care platform or services (collectively our “Services”), do not provide us with any Personal Information, and do not authorize a third party to make your Personal Information available to us.

1. User Consent

By using our Site and Services, and by making Personal Information available to us (either directly or via another person), you acknowledge that you understand that we may use your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Our Services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not intentionally gather Personal Information from or about users under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, please do not access, use, or submit any Personal Information through the Site. If you have reason to believe that we may have accidentally received Personal Information from or about a user under age 18, please contact us immediately using the contact information provided later in this policy.

2. Users Outside of the United States

Our Services are designed for Users located in, and seeking care in, the United States. Personal Information may be processed in the country in which it was collected and in other countries, including the United States, where laws regarding processing of Personal Information may be less stringent than the laws in your country. By using the Site and Services, and/or providing us with Personal Information, you consent to the processing of and storage of such data in a country other than the country in which you reside or in which the data originated or was stored.

3. Information We Collect

“Personal Information” means data that allows someone to identify or contact an individual, including, for example, full name, or first initial and last name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, as well as any other non-public information that is associated with that information.

3.1 Information You Provide to Us

(a) If you are a Care Provider: we may collect Personal Information from and about you, such as your first and last name of a business contact, email and mailing address, phone number, payment or account information, and username and password. If you are engaging with us in order to find care for a Care Client, we may also collect the Personal Information about the Care Client as stated in paragraph (b) below. For this reason, the terms “you” and “your” refers to a Care Client, whether a Care Provider is contacting us on their behalf or the Care Client is contacting us directly. If you provide information about a Care Client, you represent and warrant to us that you have authority to do so.

(b) If you are a Care Client: when you utilize our Services, or when a Care Provider uses our Services to seek care for you, we may collect Personal Information about you, such as your first and last name, birthdate, gender, email and mailing address, location of potential care services (typically city, state, zip code), phone number, care services needed, health conditions, medical information (including but not limited to the information described in paragraph (f) below) payment or account information, and username and password.

(c) If you provide us feedback or contact us via e-mail: we will collect your name and e-mail address, as well as any other content included in the e-mail, in order to send you a reply.

(d) If you contact us regarding support for the Services: we also collect other types of Personal Information that you provide to us voluntarily, such as your operating system and version and other requested information, your browsing activity, your User information, etc.

(e) Other Site points: We may also collect Personal Information at various locations our Site that request or allow for Personal Information to be collected. Please note that you can choose not to provide us with certain information, but this may limit the features of the Site or Services you are able to use.

(f) Special categories of information: Some of the information we collect, for instance, from medical records or summaries provided regarding a Care Client, may reveal characteristics of protected classifications, or sensitive information, including, for example, your gender or gender identity, religious preferences, sexual orientation or gender identity, mental health information, HIV status or treatment, or other health/medical conditions. We may collect audio, visual, or other similar information if you choose to provide it to us, including, for example, recordings from calls for support and/or photos you share with us.

Inferences we draw from information we collect about you to create a profile of you, including, for example, information reflecting your inferred preferences and interests. We may use those inferences to provide Services you have requested from us, including matching Care Providers with Care Clients.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically via Technology

Certain information about you is collected automatically in order to make our Services more useful to you. We may collect browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, domain name, and/or a date/time stamp for your visit. referring and exit pages, URLs, platform type, the number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages and content viewed (including ads viewed) and the order of such views, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time you use the Services, error logs, and other similar information.

We also use cookies and URL information to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the information for which you searched and which you viewed. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Site. Persistent Cookies can be removed by adjusting your browser settngs.

We may collect geolocation Information, including, for example, information about the approximate location of you or your device, as well as the precise GPS location of your device (if you agree to turn on location-based service). We may use geolocation information to provide services you have requested from us, such as recommending Care Providers in the area, to protect against fraud or unauthorized transactions; and for safety and compliance.

We may correlate this information with other information we have about you and draw inferences from that information, so that we can better understand our how our Services are used and how you may benefit from our Services.

4. Use of Your Personal Information

4.1 General Use

In general, Personal Information we receive is used either to respond to requests that you make, or to help us provide you with the Services; for example, to:

  • Enable you to create and secure an account;
  • Authenticate you as a user in our system;
  • Respond to a request or feedback you send to us;
  • Provide the Services you request to receive;
  • Resolve and/or troubleshoot problems with the Services;
  • Improve your experience when you interact with our Services;
  • Send you e-mail notifications, such as security or support and maintenance advisories;
  • Send you newsletters, surveys, feedback requests, and other promotional materials related to our Services and for other marketing purposes;
  • Enable the processing of payments;
  • Security, credit, quality assurance, or fraud prevention purposes;
  • Verify your compliance with your obligations in an agreement with us (if applicable); and
  • Support any other purpose identified in our Terms of Use or any other agreement between you and Senior.One.

4.2 Creation of Anonymous Data

We may anonymize or de-identify information collected by the Services, or via other means so that the information does not identify you (“Anonymous Data”) so that we can maintain, support, analyze, and improve our Services. Anonymous Data is not Personal Information.

5. Disclosure of Your Personal Information

We disclose your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your Personal Information or share your Personal Information for advertising purposes.

5.1 Care Providers and Third-Party Service Providers

We may share your Personal Information with Care Providers or our third-party service providers to provide the Services that we offer through our Site. These third-party service providers are required not to use your Personal Information other than to provide the services requested by Senior.One. Examples of such third-party service providers include companies that are healthcare providers, service providers, and companies that process payments.

5.2 Affiliated Persons and Entities

We may share some or all of your Personal Information with our affiliated persons or entities, such as our owners, investors, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies, in which case we will require them to honor this Privacy Policy.

5.3 Other Disclosures

Regardless of any choices you make regarding your Personal Information (as described below), Company may disclose Personal Information if it believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary (1) in connection with any legal investigation; (2) to comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on Senior.One; (3) to protect or defend the rights, security, integrity, or property of Senior.One or users of the Services; and/or (4) to investigate or assist in preventing any violation or potential violation of the law, this Privacy Policy, or our Terms of Use.

6. Your Choices Regarding Your Personal Information

6.1 Choices Regarding Your Personal Information

We offer you choices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your Personal Information.

From time to time, we may periodically send you e-mails that promote our Services. When you receive those e-mails, you may indicate a preference to stop receiving further communications from us and you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the e-mail you receive or by contacting us directly using the contact information provided later in this policy.

Please note that despite your marketing e-mail preferences, we may send you service-related communication e-mails, including notices of any updates to our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy.

6.2 Changes to and Deletion of Personal Information

If you have an online account with us, you may change any of your Personal Information in your account by editing the information available to you in your account. You may also request that we delete or update your other Personal Information by e-mailing us at support@senior.one with the subject line “Delete/Update my Personal Information.”

Note that we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request. Depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, the verification may not always be the same. If we cannot verify your identity, we may be unable to respond to your requests.

When we delete any information, it will be deleted from our active records, but it may remain in our archives. We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide our Services and for other lawful purposes. We may also retain Personal Information for longer periods of time if required by law. If we have made a permissible disclosure of Personal Information to third parties, we cannot ensure that the third parties will also delete or modify any such information.

7. Security of Your Personal Information

Senior.One is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your Personal Information. We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures, including but not limited to encryption and firewalls, to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We also seek to limit access to Personal Information to authorized personnel. However, no method of data transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic data storage, is 100% secure. While we use reasonable efforts to protect your Personal Information, Senior.One cannot guarantee absolute security for any data.

If you have an online account, you are required to create login credentials to protect your account. You must treat the credentials as confidential and not disclose them to any other person or entity. You must also not allow anyone else to access your account.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your login credentials or any other breach of security. You should take reasonable measures to ensure that others are not able to view or record your login credentials or any Personal Information.

8. Special Disclosures for California Residents

California residents may annually request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to other entities for their direct markering purposes in the preceding calendar year. To make such a request, please send an email to support@senior.one with the subject line “Shine the Light Request.”

Information collected after the posted last updated date will be treated in accordance with the then most current Privacy Policy. When this Privacy Policy changes, we will update the “Last Revised” date at the top of the page.
